Chapter 1

                                                                             DETENTION

It was 2:30 pm and the school was soon to close. Usually around this time students could leave early or wait for the bus. Detention kids had to stay in for 30 minutes and then had to leave on the late bus. Other than that, students loved the schedule.

It was very warm in the city of Alanya, Turkey. This was the quietest city and far away from other cities. It was Mrs. Bailey's turn to have detention in her class, and she was wiping the board clean.

Two girls came in with the red slipper from the office.
"Is the detention class here?" the tall girl asked. She had brown hair and green eyes with a slight tan. She wore a red crop top and blue jeans.

The girl beside her was a little bit shorter, with black hair and green eyes. She looked mad and angry, but she had to be in detention today.

"Yes," Mrs. Bailey nodded. "You two are in detention for..." She paused.

"Oh," Lola jerked back. "I cheated in Math class."
Mrs. Bailey sighed and shook her head.
"Whatever," Lola looked away. "What is my job here?"

"Since you cheated in Math, you need to write why Math is an important subject."

Mrs. Bailey looked at Maddie.
"I cheated in Chemistry class," Maddie muttered.
"AGAIN?" Mrs. Bailey asked. "Girls, seriously?"

"I didn't come here for your lectures, and if there is a problem, I am leaving." Lola snapped.
"This is detention. Keep quiet," Mrs. Bailey replied sternly.

Lia came in with Gracie—both caught throwing lunch at some 9th graders. Eventually, the class filled up with eight students, mostly 10th, 11th, and 12th graders.

Mrs. Bailey said, "I'm going to the bathroom. I'll be quick." She looked at James, a responsible 12th grader. "Can you watch the class please?"
James nodded.

Egor, the troublemaker, was writing on the board 300 times:
'I WON'T DISTURB CLASSES THIS WEEK.'
Josh and Mark messed around in the back with a football.

Lola and Maddie, gymnastic partners, sat together. Gracie quietly browsed online, Lia was gaming on her phone.

"James," Maddie asked, "I need to use the restroom."
"Hell no," James replied.
"But the teacher left 15 minutes ago!"

"Use a diaper," Egor joked.
"Maybe Mrs. Bailey got diarrhea?" Josh added.
